If you are wondering is Simple cruelty-free and vegan? Then you are not alone. There are so many skincare and makeup brands that it can be hard to keep up. Furthermore, different brands adhere to different policies when it comes to animal testing and cruelty-free status.

Is Simple Cruelty-Free?

Simple is cruelty-free. Here are a few indicators and information that helps to show the company is cruelty-free and doesn’t conduct animal testing.

BrandCruelty-FreeVegan
SimpleYesMost products

Is Simple PETA Certified?

Yes, Simple is PETA certified. PETA is the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The organization does research in different industries including clothing trade, food, skincare, and entertainment, and exposes animal cruelty.

Companies that are cruelty-free receive certification from PETA.

Simple’s Animal Testing Policy.

According to the company, they don’t test any of their products on animals. The company aims to produce products that are both kind to the skin as well as animals. Therefore, the brand develops products using non-animal approaches.

Simple’s Operations

Another indicator that Simple is cruelty-free is that the company originated in Europe where animal testing was completely banned in 2013.

Simple is also involved in the advocacy for a global ban on animal testing. The EU already has a ban in place and the aim is to have the ban implemented globally.

Unilever and Simple.

Simple beauty company’s parent company is Unilever. Unilever is a large company that has several companies under it. Majority of the companies are able to operate on their own and have unique policies.

Although Unilever has many companies under its umbrella, few of them are cruelty-free. The reason why many people assume that Simple is not cruelty-free is that it’s under Unilever.

Unilever claims that none of their companies test their products on animals and that they are committed to ending animal testing.

However, they also state that some of the companies use ingredients that have been tested on animals in order to comply with the regulatory and legal requirements in some markets. One search market is Mainland China which requires certain products to be tested on animals as part of their regulations.

Unilever also notes that under their umbrella they have some brands that are committed to being cruelty-free. These companies have created products that are not animal tested as well as the ingredients that are used.

Is Simple Sold In China?

Simple cosmetics are not sold in Mainland China. The reason why this matters is because foreign companies that want to access the market are required to submit their products for testing.

The rules and regulations put in place by the Chinese government include animal testing. Brands that don’t want to be part of animal testing often stay away from China.

Is Simple Vegan?

Simple is not 100% vegan. The brand indicates that a small number of products that are currently being sold include beeswax. The company also notes that they are working on making sure that their future products are vegan.

Is Simple Leaping Bunny Certified?

No, Simple is not Leaping Bunny certified. It is important to note that not all cruelty-free companies are Leaping Bunny certified.

In conclusion, Yes is the answer to the question is Simple cruelty-free? Simple was cruelty-free before they were acquired by their current company Unilever. Even after being acquired, Simple was allowed to retain and operate under its original status.

Where to buy Simple Products?

Simple products are available in almost all makeup and skincare product outlets. Check out the latest prices on different Simple products here on Amazon.

If you are wondering is Neutrogena cruelty-free and vegan then you are not alone. More and more people are becoming more concerned about how the products they are using are produced. Many people are seeking cruelty-free as well as vegan skincare and makeup products.

Is Neutrogena Cruelty Free

Neutrogena is not cruelty-free. Neutrogena has a wide range of products that are sold all over the world. It’s is a well-known skincare brand, however, it’s not cruelty-free.

The company has chosen to follow the testing policies of its parent company Johnson & Johnson. It is well known that Johnson & Johnson is not cruelty-free and conducts tests on animals.

The company states that the company wants to minimize using animals in their laboratory research that they conduct to assess the efficacy and safety of their products.

The organization also states that using animals when developing their products is sometimes required to make sure that the products are effective and safe.

Neutrogena Sold in Mainland China

Neutrogena is not cruelty-free and conducts animal testing a requirement for the products to be sold in Mainland China.

The nation still requires post-market production animal testing by law. Neutrogena has been testing on animals to be allowed to sell in Mainland China.

The Johnson & Johnson policies state that the company conducts tests on animals when the said testing is required by government regulations or by law.

Neutrogena also includes the same statement in their policy.

Neutrogena “Not Tested on Animals”

Some products from Neutrogena have the statement “not tested on animals” included on the label. However, this doesn’t mean that the products are cruelty-free.

There are so many interpretations that can be made from this simple statement. An example is that the finished product was not tested on animals.

However, the specific ingredients might have been tested either by the company itself or a contracted lab.

It could also mean the raw materials used in making the product were tested on animals in the past but there is no current testing going on.

Is Neutrogena Vegan?

Neutrogena is not a brand that is 100% vegan. Some of the ingredients used to make a wide range of skincare products are derived from animals as well as animal by-products.

Leaping Bunny or PETA Certified

Neutrogena is not certified by either PETA or Leaping Bunny. Now you have the answer to is Neutrogena cruelty-free? If you have a hard time making sense of the skincare product label, you are not alone. A lot of the language used is not straightforward and can be confusing.

You can always check the company’s website for the Leaping Bunny or PETA. Companies that are members of Leaping Bunny are all cruelty-free.

It’s however important to note that not all companies that are cruelty-free are members of Leaping Bunny. Furthermore, even those that are already members don’t include the label on all their products.

Find out does L’Oreal test on animals, and is L’Oreal vegan, sulfate-free, paraben-free, and organic. Whether you are a loyal customer or a potential customer you might want to find out more about the popular brand L’Oreal. An example of a brand owned by L’Oreal that is cruelty-free is NYX. CeraVe, Matrix, and Essie are also owned by L’Oreal but are not cruelty-free.

The brand L’Oreal states that I have been at the center of eradicating the use of animals in the cosmetics industry. The company also indicates that it has been working with the countries that still test on animals to get them to change to more animal-friendly testing methods. The brand sells through authorized retailers as well as through the brand’s official websites. However, different nations have different testing requirements.

Is L’Oreal Sold in China?

Yes, L’Oreal is sold in China. The brand does test on animals and is not cruelty-free. The tests are part of the mandatory requirements for the items to be sold in physical stores in Mainland China. The country still insists on all cosmetic brands sold in physical stores in the nation to pay and participate in post-production animal testing.

L’Oreal, just like many other cosmetic brands, has decided to expand into the Chinese market. The brand has been submitting and paying for their products to be tested on animals to be allowed to market and sell in Mainland China. Many other companies agree to the testing to abide by the mandatory requirements set by Chinese regulators.

Where Is L’Oreal Made?

No, L’Oreal haircare and skincare products are manufactured in France. The brand doesn’t make any of its products in China.

L’Oreal manufactures its products in France before shipping them to different parts of the world. The brand sources the ingredients used to make the products from different places.

Is L’Oreal 100% Vegan?

No, L’Oreal is a brand that is not 100% vegan. The brand does use keratin, honey, and other animal-derived ingredients when making most of its products which makes them non-vegan.

However, the brand has a 100% vegan hair care line known as Ever Pure. The brand also has many other vegan-friendly products. If you are looking for L’Oreal vegan products, it’s advisable to check the product labels or contact their customer care for a list of vegan products.

L’Oreal also owns brands that are 100% organic such as La Provencale Bio.

Is L’Oreal Paris Paraben-Free?

L’Oreal is not 100% paraben-free. Parabens are some of the compounds that are controversial in their use in cosmetics. Many cosmetics companies have changed their formulas to eliminate the compounds from their products.

So, if you’re wondering is L’Oreal paraben-free? The answer is some L’Oreal products do contain parabens. However, the brand has many paraben-free products in skincare and hair care. Again, it’s advisable to contact the brand or check the list of ingredients for each product.

Is L’Oreal Gluten-Free?

No, L’Oreal products are not gluten-free. It is important to note that L’Oreal doesn’t claim that any of its products are gluten-free.

Is L’Oreal Sulfate-free?

The company also indicates that all the products are safe for color-treated hair.

Some, L’Oreal products are silicon-free. All the silicon-free products can be identified by checking the list of ingredients.

Is L’Oreal Paris Non-comedogenic?

Some L’Oreal Paris skincare and makeup products are non-comedogenic. However, the brand also makes many products that are not non-comedogenic. If you have sensitive skin, it’s advisable to read the products’ ingredients first.

Is L’Oreal PETA Cruelty-Free Approved?

L’Oreal is not PETA approved. The popular makeup, skincare, haircare brand does test on animals and is, therefore, not PETA certified. Now you have the answer to does L’Oreal test on animals?

It can sometimes be challenging to know for sure whether brands are cruelty- free or not.  The confusion is confounded further when it comes to brands that are themselves cruelty-free but owned by brands that are not cruelty-free.

The statements most of the brands make on their sites are also deceptive and aimed at confusing the public. Sometimes companies use words such as does not test on animals or we are cruelty-free. Many brands also claim that they don’t advocate animal testing which is a rather vague claim.

However, it’s important to note that even though they don’t conduct any animal testing in their testing facilities, some brands such as L’Oreal pay third parties to do it for them. It is also not unheard of for brands to use ingredients from suppliers who conduct tests on animals.

The most common type of animal cruelty reported by far in the industry takes place after the final products are developed. Many of the cosmetics brands conform to post-production-testing requirements. The brands agree because they want to access large markets such as Mainland China.

However, many American and European brands remain cruelty-free and don’t adopt the testing policies of their parent companies.

L’Oreal Paris Cruelty-Free

L’Oreal does not have Leaping Bunny certification. Further answering the question does L’Oreal test on animals?

The L’Oreal brand indicates that they comply with the safety testing requirements in all countries including those that still use animals.

One of the ways of eliminating any doubts related to whether a company is cruelty-free or not is checking the Leaping Bunny or PETA website for the list of cosmetics brands that have been approved as cruelty-free. Sometimes, organizations that are cruelty-free approved have the bunny logo on their websites, especially under the FAQ. Some even include the bunny on product labels.

L’Oreal develops great skincare, makeup, and hair care products and has been in the business for decades. The brand also manufactures and sells to different parts of the world. The brand has been focused on producing effective products that are also professional.

It is also good to note that not all brands seek certification from different bodies. Different brands have different ways of approaching certification. Some cosmetic brands seek certification from just one organization while others don’t which seems to be the case with L’Oreal.

Where to Buy L’Oreal Products

L’Oreal products are available on the company’s website which ships to most locations. The brand products are also available in almost all cosmetic product retailers including Ulta and Sephora.

The brand expanded to sell and ship to almost all countries around the world including the United Kingdom, Australia, China, Canada, and New Zealand. In some of the locations that the brand ships outside of France or sells in physical stores, animal testing still carried out. The choice has made the brand remain not cruelty-free.

I want to believe you found this post on does L’Oreal test on animals informative. If so, it would be awesome if you share it with others and also find me social media and remain updated on future posts.

The ingredients in the formula are all aimed at preventing breakouts even for people with sensitive and acne prone skins. It’s fragrance-free as well as oil-free.

It is also water-resistant which is an added advantage for those who want to go swimming.

This sunscreen from Tatcha is loved by many people because it offers more benefits than just protecting against the sun rays. It is also a pre perfecter with Japanese wild rose which tightens pores.

ColorScience Sunforgettable Total Protection Brush-On Sunscreen SPF 30

ColorScience Sunforgettable total Protection Brush-On Sunscreen SPF 30 Review

This is a powder sunscreen, perfect for people who want to reapply their sunscreen after wearing makeup. Liquid sunscreen makes it impossible to reapply sunscreen during the day. However, using one of these powder sunscreens makes it easy.

The only downside is that these types of sunscreens don’t provide full UV-protection. However, you can use it in combination with a liquid sunscreen for added protection.

The sunscreen is suitable for all skin types. It’s also non-comedogenic, dermatologist tested and free from any types of harsh chemicals.

The sunscreen is also fragrance-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, and vegan.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra Liquid Fluid Facial Sunscreen SPF60

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra Liquid Fluid Facial Sunscreen SPF60 Review

La Roche-Posay makes great products for people with acne-prone skin and this sunscreen is no exception.

The product is made using the Cell-Ox Shield Technology which helps protect the skin from both UVA as well as UVB rays.

The product is absorbed quickly in the skin and leaves a light matte effect. Compared to other types of sunscreens, this product doesn’t leave a white cast.

The sunscreen also has antioxidants that nourish the skin and also protect it from sun damage. The formula is also oil-free and the product doesn’t clog pores.

It is also fragrance-free, paraben-free, and allergy-tested. I love the sunscreen because it is also water-resistant.

Conclusion

If you are looking for a non-comedogenic sunscreen for dark skin on a budget, I highly recommend the Neutrogena Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid Lotion Sunscreen SPF 55 (get $15 off). If you have a higher budget you can try one of the others mentioned in the post.

If you are wondering is Kiehl’s cruelty-free so are many other people. An increasing number of consumers want to know the animal testing policies of their favorite skincare brand. Kiehl’s is one of the brands owned by L’Oreal. The brand has chosen to follow testing policies that include animal testing similar to its parent company. The Company claims that they don’t conduct any testing on animals both pre-production as well as during production. However, the company consents to test when required by law.

The brand states that as a global company they aim to provide their products to their customers where ever they are located. However, some nations still require animal testing. Kiehl’s, therefore, has to abide by the laws to prove that their products and the ingredients used in them are safe for humans.

One of the ways of knowing whether a company is cruelty-free is checking for the PETA website for the cruelty-free brands. Sometimes, companies that cruelty-free certified have the logo on their websites as well as on some of their products.

However, I would like to point out that not all brands that are cruelty-free seek certification by either PETA or Leaping Bunny. Furthermore, even those that are already certified don’t include the bunny label on all their products.

Where To Buy Kiehl’s

Kiehl’s products are available on the company’s site which ships to various places. The brand’s products are likewise readily available in numerous cosmetic product retailers. They are offered at popular retail outlets including Sephora, Amazon, and Ulta.

The brand Unilever states that as an international company that sells worldwide it aims to supply its products to its customers through authorized retailers as well as through the official website. However, different nations have different testing requirements.

Is Suave Sold in China?

No, Suave is no longer sold in China. The brand is cruelty-free because it does not agree or pays for animal testing. The tests are part of the mandatory requirements for the items to be sold in physical stores in Mainland China. The country still insists on all cosmetic brands sold in physical stores in the nation to pay and participate in post-production animal testing.

Suave, just like many other cosmetic brands, has made the decision to stay away from the Chinese market. The brand has stopped submitting and paying for their products to be tested on animals so as to be allowed to market and sell in Mainland China. Many other companies agree to the testing so as to abide by the mandatory requirements set by Chinese regulators.

Is Suave Made in China?

No, Suave products are manufactured in the U.S. The brand doesn’t make any of its products in China.

Suave manufactures its products in America before shipping them to different parts of the world. The brand sources the ingredients used to make the products from different places.

Is Suave 100% Vegan?

No, Suave is a brand that is not vegan. The brand doesn’t claim that its products are vegan. Suave does use collagen, lanolin, silk, keratin, honey, elastin, and other animal-derived ingredients when making most of its products which makes them non-vegan.

If you are looking for Suave vegan products, you are probably better of looking at another brand that develops vegan products.

Is Suave Organic and Natural?

Suave is not organic or natural. The company doesn’t make any claims that their products are made with all organic or natural ingredients. However, they do indicate that they use safe ingredients in their products which also include natural ingredients.

Is Suave Paraben-Free?

Suave has products that are paraben-free as well as those that are not. Parabens are some of the compounds that are controversial in their use in cosmetics. Many cosmetics companies have changed their formulas to eliminate the compounds from their products.

So, if you’re wondering is Suave paraben-free? The answer is some Suave products do contain parabens. However, the brand has paraben-free collections especially those developed for kids.

Suave also provides limited information on whether the products are sulfate-free.

Is Suave Gluten-Free?

No, Suave products are not gluten-free. It is important to note that Suave doesn’t claim that any of its products are gluten-free. The brand also indicates that when it uses wheat, rye, oat, and barley-derived ingredients it lists them in the label.

It’s advisable to read the labels first or contact the brand’s customer service before making a purchase. If you are really interested in gluten-free products, you are probably better off looking for products from another brand.

Is Suave Hypoallergenic?

No, Suave products are not hypoallergenic. The brand doesn’t make any claims that all its products are hypoallergenic.

The company also provides no guarantee that all of the ingredients or products are developed in allergen-free environments.

Is Suave Non-comedogenic?

No, Suave is not non-comedogenic. Some brands create and test, all the products to make them non-comedogenic. This is not the case with Suave.

Is Suave PETA Cruelty-Free Approved?

Suave is PETA approved. The popular hair care brand does not test on animals and is, therefore, PETA certified. Now you have the answer to is Suave cruelty-free?

It can sometimes be challenging to know for sure whether brands are cruelty- free or not.  The confusion is confounded further when it comes to brands that are themselves cruelty-free but owned by brands that are not cruelty-free.

The statements most of the brands make on their websites are also deceptive and aimed at confusing the public. Sometimes brands use words such as “not tested on animals” or cruelty-free”. Many brands also claim that they don’t advocate animal testing which is a rather vague claim.

However, it’s important to note that even though they don’t conduct any animal testing in their private testing facilities, some brands pay third parties to do it for them.

However, there are many American and European brands that remain cruelty-free and don’t adopt the testing policies of their parent companies.

Suave Cruelty-Free

Suave does not have Leaping Bunny certification. Further answering the question is Suave cruelty-free?

Suave indicates that they have stopped selling in countries that still use animals for efficacy and safety testing.

Suave develops great hair care and skin care products and has been in the business since early 1937. The brand also manufactures and sells to different parts of the world. The brand has been focused on producing affordable products that are also professional.

It is also good to note that not all brands seek certification from different bodies. Different brands have different ways of approaching certification. Some cosmetic brands seek certification from just one organization which seems to be the case with Suave.

Where to Buy Suave Products

Suave products are available on the company’s website which ships to most locations. The brand products are also available in almost all cosmetic product retailers including Walgreens and Ulta.

The brand expanded to sell and ship to many countries around the world including South Africa, United Kingdom, Mexico, Canada, and New Zealand. In all the locations that the brand ships outside of the U.S. or sells in physical stores, animal testing not carried out. The choice has made the brand become cruelty-free.

I want to believe you found this post on is Suave cruelty-free and vegan informative. If so, it would be awesome if you share it with others and also follow us on our social media and remain updated on future posts.

Finding the best drugstore moisturizers for oily dry and combination skin can help you get the skin you desire on a budget. Finding good drugstore moisturizers can be a little bit of a struggle because there are just so many out there. The majority of them are formulated with a lot of ingredients that can be harmful whether it be stripping alcohol, a lot of fragrance, or a lot of essential oils.

Best drugstore moisturizers for oily dry and combination skin

Drugstore skincare products are sometimes a great option if you don’t have access to some of the other brands. They are also great options if you’re working with a limited budget and don’t want to neglect your skin. The moisturizers in this list were selected based on the ingredients lists as well as the user experience. Please note that my user experience can be very different from yours because we have different skin types.

Best Drugstore Moisturizers for Dry Skin

If you have severely dry skin you want a moisturizer that will properly hydrate your skin. You want a moisturizer that forms a thicker layer of moisture over your skin.

1. CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

This common drugstore moisturizer is available from as little as $6. The CeraVe Moisturizing Cream formula is superior to every drugstore moisturizer for dry skin that I’ve been able to find.

Ingredients Review:

  • Glycerin is the second ingredient which is a humectant. It pulls in moisture from the environment deep into your skin to help make sure that it stays hydrated.
  • Caprylic triglyceride as the third ingredient which locks in that hydration.
  • Ceramides which help the skin retain moisture.
  • Sodium hyaluronate is the concentrated form of hyaluronic acid. Also, it pulls in moisture from the environment similar to glycerin.

The CeraVe Moisturizing Cream is also fragrance-free. I also love this product because it’s one of the cheapest moisturizing creams. You can get a big container that’ll last you a good six months if not longer.

CeraVe has superior formulas that have non-sensitizing but powerful ingredients that are going to make sure you’re moisturized, hydrated, and taken care of. It’s not the most flashy brand out there but it delivers the best ingredients and the best formulas without risking long-term damage

2. E.l.f Happy Hydration Cream

Many people don’t like Elf skincare products because of several reasons. However, since we are looking at drugstore moisturizers I had to check and I did find one that was good. The Elf Happy Hydration Cream ingredient list is great.

Ingredients Review:

  • Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil is the second ingredient in this product. Hemp seed oil is exceptionally good for hydration. It’s been a really popular ingredient recently but a lot of times brands will formulate with a tiny concentration of hemp seed oil and then use it as marketing tactic because its trendy. But, the fact that it’s the second ingredient in this shows that this is a pretty high-quality product.
  • Glycerin is the fourth ingredient, perfect for hydration.
  • Niacinamide is the sixth ingredient which is a great ingredient that works to reduce sensitivity and irritation. It also regulates sebum production that makes sure you’re not too oily or too dry and it brightens any dark spots or pigmentation that you have across your face.
  • Peptides that help soothe the skin.

The Elf Happy Hydration Cream is also fragrance-free.  After using it I have to say it’s a nice moisturizer. It’s optimal for people who want a lot of hydration but who don’t want a thick layer of moisture on their skin.

For a dry skin formula, it’s relatively lightweight. I also noticed that it soothes the skin and overall leaves a nice feel.

Best Drugstore Moisturizers for Combination Skin

3. CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion

The CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion is a good basic moisturizer for combination skin that’s going to give you the results you desire. It’s available at a drugstore price of about $11. It’s similar to the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream but the only difference is that it’s not formulated with petrolatum. Petrolatum is a thicker, occlusive emollient ingredient that forms a thick layer of moisture across your face.

People with combination skin don’t need the thick layer. All the other ingredients in the moisturizing cream are really good. The moisturizing lotion is a great choice if you’re just looking for a good simple moisturizer with good ingredients, fragrance-free that’s going to deliver hydration, and other benefits.

4. Skin Rescue Moisturizer (SheaMoisture)

If you have a combination to dry skin the SheaMoisture Skin Rescue Moisturizer is a great option. SheaMoisture products are not always the best because the majority of their products are formulated with a lot of essential oils. However, this one is free of essential oils.

Ingredients Review:

  • Glycerin shea butter which moisturizes and softens your skin.
  • Hemp seed oil good for hydration
  • Witch hazel in low concentration. Some people have issues with witch hazel, I have issues with it when it’s in high concentrations. Witch hazel is an astringent and can act similarly to drying alcohol. But in low concentrations, I think it can have soothing benefits.

The main claim on the Skin Rescue Moisturizer is that it soothes irritated skin. All the ingredients are good ingredients that you would want in your skincare products.

The moisturizer is lightweight but still delivers a lot of moisture which is where I feel it’s better for combination to more dry skin. On a side note, it also comes in glass packaging which is environmentally sustainable and can be reused.

5. Hungarian Water Essence Cream (Olay)

If you have a combination to oily skin and want a moisturizer that’s not too heavy on the skin the Olay Hungarian Water Essence Cream is a great option. Olay products are not usually the best because they contain fragrances but, this one doesn’t. Read more on the brand Olay.

Ingredients Review:

  • Glycerin is great for hydration.
  • Panthenol a form of vitamin B that is used for its ability to attract and hold moisture as a humectant.
  • Niacinamide is the fourth ingredient that is going to help control oiliness.
  • Green tea extract is used to calm irritations, and diminish signs of aging.
  • Sodium hyaluronate for hydration
  • Cucumber extracts which are great for soothing any sensitivity or redness.

The only thing to note about this product is that it is kind of pricey and on the higher end of drugstore products at $19.

Best Drugstore Moisturizers for Oily Skin

6. Dew Point Gel Cream (Versed)

Finding a moisturizer for oily skin can be tricky because most of them are formulated for oily sensitive skin. However, the Dew Point Gel Cream is great if you have oily skin that is not sensitive.

This moisturizer is a dupe for the iUnik Centella Calming Gel Cream. All the Centella Calming gel Cream is sold at a drugstore price of just $11, it’s only available in Korea and only ships to limited locations.

The Dew Point Gel Cream doesn’t have the same ingredient list as the iUnik moisturizer but it’s also really good and lightweight.

Ingredients Review:

  • Glycerin which is awesome for hydration.
  • Squalene is usually a heavy moisturizing ingredient but it’s lightweight with this product.
  • Green tea extract is used to calm irritations, and diminish signs of aging.
  • Aloe vera juice used for hydration as well as for fighting acne.
  • Jojoba oil has great anti-inflammatory properties

This moisturizer is also fragrance-free. It’s super lightweight and soaks into the skin easily.

7. Oil-Free Combination Moisturizer (Neutrogena)

If you’re looking for a good moisturizer that will help with oil control, the Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer is a good option. Most Neutrogena products have fragrance in the formulation but this product is fragrance-free.

Ingredients Review:

  • Cyclomethicone is the primary ingredient that provides a drier finish. Cyclomethicone is similar to dimethicone. Both are useful in preventing any trans epidermal water loss which is the process by which we lose water through our skin which can cause dryness, irritation, and sensitivity. Although dimethicone is good it sometimes leaves behind a greasy thick layer on the skin. Cyclomethicone is a good alternative that makes sure you’re less oily and greasy and gives a drier finish while still providing those good benefits.

As a note when you apply this moisturizer, it doesn’t feel great immediately. It feels like it’s suffocating your skin. However, after about an hour you will notice that it has done its job and reduced oiliness throughout the day.

Continued use of the moisturizer will reduce oiliness, excess sebum, and shininess throughout the day.  Your skin will also feel hydrated and protected throughout the day. The ingredient list for the moisturizer isn’t flash or fancy, but they will get the job done properly.

Conclusion

Those are some of the best drugstore moisturizers for oily dry and combination skin. Checking the ingredient lists of the products before you make a purchase is the most helpful tip, I can give you.

I know there could be other moisturizers out there that I am not aware of or tried because there are so many brands. If you know and have tried any other please let me know in the comments below. Also, follow me on Pinterest for more useful posts on skincare and makeup.
